Man's body found by East Shoreham resident removing pool cover, police say

An East Shoreham man removing the winter cover from his swimming pool Sunday found a man's body inside, Suffolk County police said.
The startling discovery was made at 4:20 p.m., police said. Homicide Squad detectives could be seen investigating at a residence on Pal Road, a dead-end street off Cobblestone Drive, west of William Floyd Parkway. Police left the scene shortly after 7 p.m.
Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office personnel will conduct an autopsy to determine the identity and cause of death of the victim, according to police.
