Body washes ashore in Laurel, Southold police say
The body of an unidentified male washed ashore in Laurel Sunday afternoon, police said.
In a news release, Southold police said the body was found at about 4:30 p.m. on the Peconic Bay beach in front of a private home.
Southold detectives and the county’s medical examiner are investigating.
