Suffolk County police said they recovered a body from West Lake in Patchogue Sunday afternoon. A police spokeswoman said it appeared to be noncriminal.

Police received a call about the body at 11:40 a.m.

Police on Sunday afternoon were still working to identify the body. No additional information was available.
