Brentwood man seriously injured in crash into pole, police say
A Brentwood man was seriously injured when his car crashed into a telephone pole Saturday night in North Lindenhurst, police said.
Suffolk County police said Alexis Flores, 27, was driving his 2000 Chrysler LHS eastbound on Sunrise Highway about 8:15 p.m., when the car went out of control and hit the pole east of Wellwood Avenue.
Flores was taken by the North Lindenhurst Fire Department ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
Authorities impounded the car for a safety check as part of the investigation. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
