Brentwood man hit, seriously injured by car, Suffolk police say
A Brentwood man was injured Thursday night when he was hit by a car in a Brentwood intersection, Suffolk County police said.
Marcos Castro, 21, was in serious condition at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, police said early Friday.
Catherine Ocampohincapie, 19, of Central Islip, was behind the wheel of a 2010 Nissan Versa when she hit Castro at about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Suffolk Avenue and Brentwood Road, police said.
Ocampohincapie stayed at the scene, police said.
Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating.
