A Bridgehampton handyman who was charged with assaulting an 83-year-old woman in her home will be arraigned on Wednesday, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney.

Brontie O'Neal, 50, also is accused of taking the victim's car after knocking her down on May 30, District Attorney Thomas Spota said in a statement.

The elderly woman, who lives on Hands Creek Road in East Hampton, suffered a head injury, he said.

No details about her condition were immediately available.

Judge John J. Toomey will unseal O'Neal's indictment on Wednesday.
