A Brooklyn man was shot and killed outside a party in Wyandanch early Sunday morning, Suffolk police said.

Edward Louis Ivey Jr., 39, was standing outside 51 West Booker Ave. at about 12:55 a.m. with a large group of people when he was shot once, police said.

Ivey was pronounced dead at the scene.

Later Sunday morning, beer bottles, chicken bones, yellow police tape and other garbage was packed in clear plastic bags in front of the home where the shooting occurred. The two-story house, on a sprawling property with a large backyard and a pool, is located between a church and an industrial yard.

A man ordered a reporter off the property on Sunday.

Police ask anyone with any information on this case to contact the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS.
