The girl, 18 months, was found about 10:30 a.m. in the in-ground pool of her Chester Road home and taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, then transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital, police said.

She was in serious condition later in the day, police said.
