Cabdriver falls asleep at wheel, crashes into Brentwood auto shop, police say

A cabdriver who fell asleep at the wheel crashed into a Brentwood vehicle repair shop early Tuesday, Suffolk County police said.
The driver was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with minor injuries, a department spokeswoman said.
The crash happened at about 1 a.m., as the cab hit the front portion of Eastern Wheel Alignment on Wicks Road, the spokeswoman said.
No charges were filed, the spokeswoman said.
