A candlelight vigil is set for Friday evening for the two teenage girls found slain in Brentwood, school officials said.

The vigil in memory of Nisa Mickens, 15, and Kayla Cuevas, 16 — who both attended Brentwood High School’s Ross Center — will begin at 6 p.m. at the school’s Frank A. Mauro football stadium, according to the letter to parents and guardians from Brentwood Superintendent Levi McIntyre.

“We are asking that all individuals wear green & white in support of this vigil,” McIntyre wrote, adding that Suffolk Police Commissioner Timothy Sini and elected representatives also would be present. Green and white are the school’s colors.

He also said a community forum would be held at a later date for “parents and community members to provide feedback” to school officials.

The body of Mickens was discovered by a passing motorist Tuesday night on Stahley Street at Ray Court. Cuevas’ body was found late Wednesday afternoon in a wooded area off Ray Court.

Cuevas had a dispute in school with students linked to the MS-13 street gang, and police are investigating whether it played a role in the killings, a law-enforcement source said Thursday.

There was no indication that Mickens was involved in the dispute, the source said.
