The Captree drawbridge on the Robert Moses Causeway is back in operation Monday, after a transformer fire left the bridge stuck in the open position Sunday, state police and transportation officials said.

The bridge, which connects the causeway to Captree State Park and the Ocean Parkway, was stuck open after a fire at 3 p.m.

The New York State Department of Transportation said the situation was resolved at 5:51 a.m. Monday.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
