Car crashes into Huntington Station grocery store
A driver sideswiped another vehicle in Huntington Station on Wednesday before crashing through a store's plate glass windows, Suffolk police said.
The female driver of a Dodge Stratus was headed north on New York Avenue when she sideswiped another vehicle at 2:17 p.m. The driver then lost control, swerved across traffic, and went through the front of a grocery store near East 22nd Street.
The driver of the Stratus was taken to Huntington Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. A driver and two passengers in the second vehicle were not hurt.
Police said the crash is still under investigation.
