Car crashes into Wyandanch house

The driver of a Nissan Pathfinder SUV was injured in a single car accident on Colonial Springs Road in Wyandanch abut 4:00 pm, Saturday. The vehicle left the road and went through two fences before crashing into a house. The house suffered substantial damage, the occupants home at the time were uninjured. The Wynadanch-Wheatley Heights Ambulance Corps. responded to the scene to transport the driver to the hospital. The Wyandanch Fire Co. also responded to secure the vehicle and utilities in the house. An out-of-control sport utility vehicle crashed into a Wyandanch home Saturday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.
People were in the home at the time of the crash, but no one inside was hurt. The driver of the Nissan SUV sustained minor injuries and was brought to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, a police spokesman said. She isn't facing charges.
The crash happened at about 3:45 p.m. at Colonial Springs Road near Foxwood Drive. Police did not release the driver's name.
