Police probe two car fires on same street in North Amityville

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of two car fires on opposite sides of the same street in North Amityville, Suffolk County police said.
The fires were reported at 11:51 p.m. Sunday on Melody Lane near Summer Lane, a police department spokeswoman said.
The cars were unoccupied and there were no injuries, the spokeswoman said.
