A driver backed into a Domino's pizza place in Deer Park Thursday afternoon, hitting it with enough force to make it "structurally unsafe," officials said.

No injuries were reported and no crime was involved in the crash at about 2:45 p.m. at the chain's Long Island Avenue location, Suffolk police said.

Details on why the driver lost control were not immediately available, police said.

But the car struck the storefront windows and a brick column that supported the roof, said Babylon Town spokesman Kevin Bonner. "The building has been deemed structurally unsafe," he said.

The pizza business is shutting down Thursday, Bonner said.

The property owner plans to make temporary repairs, he said, and the building inspector will return to the site Friday to determine if the repairs are sufficient to allow Domino's to reopen.
