Police are investigating an early morning report of an armed robbery of a car in Dix Hills Tuesday.

The suspects reportedly stole a car from a house on Clayton Drive, Suffolk County police said. A 911 caller told police at 5:36 a.m. that their car was stolen at gunpoint, police said.

It was not immediately clear if the car was stolen in a home invasion or carjacking. Police said the investigation into the incident is continuing and no arrests have been made.
