Pedestrian injured after being hit by car in Brentwood intersection, Suffolk police say
A pedestrian was seriously injured Thursday night when he was hit by a car in a Brentwood intersection, Suffolk police said.
A 2010 Nissan Versa struck the unidentified adult male at about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Suffolk Avenue and Brentwood Road, police said.
The pedestrian was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with serious head trauma, police said.
The driver stayed at the scene, police said.
Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating.
