Man, 82, transported to hospital after falling into cesspool in East Patchogue

An 82-year-old man was taken to Long Island Community Hospital on Sunday evening after falling into a cesspool in East Patchogue, Suffolk County police said.

Officers responded to the scene on Church Street at 6:10 p.m., police said.

Police said the cesspool was 10 feet deep and that the victim was taken away for evaluation.
