Coast Guard: Sick passenger airlifted from ship off Montauk
The Coast Guard airlifted a 65-year-old woman from a cruise ship about 50 miles off Montauk on Sunday night after she complained of severe stomach pains, authorities said.
The woman was hoisted from the cruise ship, Crystal Serenity, into a Coast Guard helicopter at about 2:45 p.m., the Coast Guard said in a news release.
The woman was taken to Warwick, Rhode Island, where an ambulance took her to a hospital, the Coast Guard said. Her condition was not known Sunday night.
