Cop in Lindenhurst car accident has minor injuries

A Suffolk County police officer had minor injuries after her car was involved in a crash in Lindenhurst on Sunday morning.

Police said the incident occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. at South Wellwood Avenue south of East Montauk Highway and involved the officer's marked patrol car and a civilian's vehicle.

The officer, who was not named, was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured, police said.
