A Lake Grove man was killed and three other people were injured in a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Nesconset, Suffolk police said Sunday.

The driver of the motorcycle, Richard Primo, 30, of Williams Boulevard, was taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police said the crash occurred at about 10:50 p.m. Saturday when a 2007 Mercury Milan heading east on Route 347 attempted to make a left turn onto Lake Avenue.

Police said the car was struck by the motorcycle, a 2007 Suzuki.

Both Primo and his passenger, Timothy Gray, 25, of Smithtown, were thrown from the bike, police said.

Gray suffered what police called "non-life-threatening injuries," as did the occupants of the car, driver Cosimo Mollo, 81, of Lake Grove, and his wife, Lucille, 80.

Both vehicles were impounded. Police said the investigation is continuing.
