Cops: 11 arrested, car seized at sobriety checkpoint in Patchogue

Suffolk County police said 11 people were arrested on drunken driving or related charges during an overnight sobriety checkpoint in Patchogue between 11 p.m. Friday and 2:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015. Suffolk County police arrested 11 motorists and seized one vehicle during an overnight sobriety checkpoint in Patchogue aimed at curtailing intoxicated driving during the Labor Day holiday weekend.
Officers from Suffolk's Highway Patrol Bureau conducted the checkpoint on the westbound Sunrise Highway service road at Waverly Avenue from 11 p.m. Friday through 2:20 a.m. Saturday.
A total of 651 vehicles went through the checkpoint.
Among those charged with driving while intoxicated were:
Pil Young Yoo, 40, of Woodlawn Avenue in St. James
Kenneth Lindsay, 60, of Bayonne Avenue in Central Islip
Richard Bocklet, 59, of Teller Drive in Islip
Heather Yutesler, 35, of Washington Avenue in Patchogue
Emily Torrez, 21, of Fairview Avenue in Islip Terrace
George Ghossn, 54, of Connetquot Avenue in East Islip
Leo Skorupski, 32, of Lindbergh Street in Massapequa Park
Francine Anzalone, 55, of Broadway in Holbrook
Danny Hernandez, 53, of Lager Lane in Patchogue
Two other motorists were arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired:
Heriberto Gonzalez, 37, of Perry Street in Brentwood
Kristine Schultz, 35, of Deborah Court in North Massapequa. Schultz was also charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the fifth degree.
The 11 motorists are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
