Cops: 2 killed in Centereach car crash
Two passengers were killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night on Middle Country Road in Centereach, Suffolk police said.
Christopher Riley, 22, of Magnolia Street, and Talor Reardon, 19, of Park Street, Centereach, were taken to Stony Brook Medical Center after the accident, where they were pronounced dead.
Riley and Reardon were passengers in a 2001 Nissan Maxima driven by Ryan Curley, 21, of 77 Hammond Lane, Centereach.
Curley’s car was traveling east, just west of Wood Road, at 6:58 p.m., when it hit a curb and went out of control, police said. The car crossed over a double yellow line and collided with an oncoming passenger van driven by Patricia Henry, 45, of 15 Marie Lane, Central Islip.
Both Curley and Henry were taken to the Stony Brook hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Fourth squad detectives who are investigating the incident asked that anyone with information contact them at 631-854-8452.
