A chain-reaction accident involving a mini-school bus, a landscaping truck and a car resulted in three people being injured Thursday in Huntington Station, Suffolk police said.
The truck was going west on Lake Road when it halted for a stop sign, then crossed Park Avenue, where it collided with a Honda going north on Park Avenue, police said.
The force of the crash flipped the Honda, which then mowed down a corner street sign and a stop sign, as the truck driver lost control and hit the school bus going east on Lake Road, police said.
The accident happened at 3 p.m.
Four students of various ages were in the school bus, but they were not hurt, police said.
The Honda driver, the bus driver and a passenger in the landscaping truck were taken to Huntington Hospital with minor injuries.
A ticket was issued to the truck driver, police said.
No other details were immediately available, including regarding charges against the truck driver.
