Three Smithtown brothers face assault charges in connection with a March 16 fight in their hometown, Suffolk County police said Friday.

Fermin Garrido, 28; Alan Garrido, 26; and Brandon Garrido, 19, all of 59 West Main St., were arrested late Wednesday into Thursday, police said.

Each was charged with two counts of third-degree assault and arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip. A temporary order of protection was issued, and they were released on their own recognizance. They are due back in court on April 9.

In the altercation, which occurred at around 2:45 a.m. in front of 7 Main St., two men received minor injuries and were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, police said.

Police had no further information about the fight.
