Cops: 3 sought in theater vandalism

Three suspects who appear, in video surveillance images, to be teen boys or young men, are wanted by Suffolk County police in connection with graffiti sprayed on the outer walls of a Huntington Village cinema.

The police on Thursday issued a Crime Stoppers alert seeking the public's help identifying the three and offering a reward for anyone who can provide information.

Police said surveillance cameras recorded the three at about 10:35 a.m. June 21 walking around the AMC Loews Movie Theater at 37 Wall St. As they passed the building, one of the three stopped, took a can of spray paint out of his backpack and wrote the words "Moc," "Scene" and "Risk" on the outer wall of the theater, the Crime Stoppers alert said. There was also damage to the plaster on the rear wall of the theater building.

The Second Precinct Crime Section, which is investigating, asked anyone with information to call 800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
