Cops: 5 students to hospital after school bus crash in Mastic Beach

Five middle school students were taken to a hospital as a precautionary measure after their school bus was involved in a collision with a car Monday morning in Mastic Beach, Suffolk County police said.
Two adults in the car also were transported, police said.
Police said the accident occurred at the intersection of Lynbrook Drive and Dogwood Road West at about 7:40 a.m.
There were 15 students on the bus, which was headed to the William Paca Middle School. Police said five students were transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue as a precaution.
No one was ticketed in the crash, police said.
Police said the bus was involved in a collision with a black Lincoln, carrying two adults. Both occupants of the Lincoln also were transported to Brookhaven for treatment.
