6 to hospitals after minibus crash in Deer Park, cops say

A minibus driver and his five adult passengers were treated at hospitals for minor injuries after the vehicle hit a utility pole and then a tree Tuesday afternoon in Deer Park, police said.

The driver and his passengers, special needs adults, were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip and Southside Hospital in Bay Shore after the crash on Old Country Road, which occurred at 3:21 p.m., Suffolk County police said.
