A Pennsylvania man was arrested on a drunken driving charge Monday morning after he got into an accident in Mount Sinai that killed his front-seat passenger, police said.

Sheikh Khan, 24, was driving a 2000 Audi south on Crystal Brook Hollow Road, north of Hallock Avenue when the car hit a pole at 2:24 a.m., Suffolk police said.

The passenger, Natalie Juarez, 20, of Port Jefferson Station, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Two other passengers, a 20-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, were treated at Stony Brook University Medical Center for undisclosed injuries. Police did not identify them in a Monday afternoon news release.

Khan, of Tobyhanna, Pa., was arrested at the hospital on a driving while intoxicated charge, police said. He is under police guard there pending his release and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip, police said.

The Audi was impounded, police said.

Police urge anyone with information about the crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
