Three men were arrested early Thursday morning after they burglarized a North Lindenhurst automotive speed shop, Suffolk police said.

The burglary was in progress when First Precinct officers responded to an alarm at 5:15 a.m. at S-K Speed, 1075 Rte. 109, officials said. Police said Eric Agraz, Carlos Silva and Juan Carlos Ortiz were seen on the roof of the building before being quickly apprehended.

"They didn't really have a chance to take much because we got there pretty quickly, and all items they took were recovered," said Det. Sgt. Marco Giudice, though he wouldn't say what was stolen and what the items were worth.

Giudice said the three men, equipped with a crowbar and a hammer, ripped a hole in the roof to enter the shop, burglarized the store and left the way they came.

"There was a hole big enough to fit a body in the roof," Giudice said, adding the shop's owners "were just happy that these guys were caught."

Agraz, 20, of 2629 Magnolia Rd. in North Bellmore; Silva, 17, of 235 Fifth Ave. in Huntington Station; and Ortiz, 19, 117 of Eighth Ave. in Huntington Station were charged with third degree burglary and possession of burglar tools. They are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.
