Cops arrest man in Riverhead bank robbery

An East Quogue man was arrested on Saturday after he robbed a Riverhead bank branch, Riverhead Town police said.

Caleb Christiansen, 22, robbed a Capital One bank branch on County Route 58 in Riverhead on Friday, taking an undisclosed amount of money, according to police.

Christiansen was arrested at about 6:03 p.m. Saturday on County Route 39 in Southampton.

Riverhead police said they were assisted in the arrest by police from Southampton Town, Southampton Village and New York State.

Christiansen was scheduled to be arraigned in Riverhead Sunday.
