A fire early Tuesday that destroyed two vehicles parked in the driveway of a Brentwood home was arson, Suffolk County police said.

The fire destroyed a 1993 Toyota and a 1995 Ford, a police spokeswoman said. The vehicles were impounded as part of an investigation by the Arson Squad, she said.

Police have determined the fire "to be criminal in nature," the spokeswoman said.

There were no injuries and the house on Westwood Drive where the vehicles were parked was not damaged, the spokeswoman said.

Police and fire officials responded to a call for a fire at the home near Second Avenue at about 1:30 a.m., she said.
