Suffolk County police arson squad detectives are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed an automobile outside a home in Huntington Station early Sunday, officials said.

The call reported the car fire on East 8th Street was received at 1:58 a.m., police said.

Suffolk fire officials said firefighters from the Huntington Manor Fire Department responded and found the vehicle, a Mercedes-Benz, “fully involved.” Fire officials said the blaze was “quickly brought under control.”

Officials said there were no injuries.
