Cops: Assistant principal accused of 'inappropriate' texting

An assistant principal at Wyandanch High School was arrested Monday and charged with sending "inappropriate texts," some of a sexual nature, police said, to faculty and students.
Craig Cohen, 47, was arrested at his Northport home and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and three counts of second-degree aggravated harassment. Cohen, employed by the Wyandanch district for about eight years, sent the messages between last month and this one, Suffolk police said.
Wyandanch school officials could not be reached for comment.
Cohen was to be held overnight at the First Precinct in Lindenhurst for arraignment in First District Court, Central Islip. Anyone with information is asked to call 631-854-8126.
