An East Hampton teen beaten and stabbed when he tried to come to aid of a friend in a fight Sunday night in Bridgehampton has been released from the hospital, police said.

Det. Sgt. Lisa Costa said Tuesday Southampton Town Police have no new information on the case.

The unidentified 16-year-old boy was walking home from a party near Scuttle Hole Road when he tried to help his friend and then was jumped, police said.

He had a stab wound in his back and was driven to Southampton Hospital by his friend, according to police.
