The body of an unidentified person was found inside a Melville home Sunday night after firefighters battled a fire that engulfed the two-story structure on New York Avenue, Suffolk police said.
Melville firefighters responded to the home shortly after receiving a call at 9:42 p.m. reporting the blaze, according to Suffolk police.
Suffolk police did not immediately have information identifying the victim of the fire.
