Cops: Boy hit, seriously injured by vehicle in Lindenhurst

A child was struck by a vehicle Saturday night near Montauk Highway and South 13th Street in Lindenhurst, police said.
The boy was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Suffolk County police said the incident, which occurred at 8:30 p.m., appeared to be noncriminal.
No further information was available.
