Cops: Car crashes into Ronkonkoma woods
A driver was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center on Tuesday night after the car he was driving crashed into a wooded area along Veterans Memorial Highway in Ronkonkoma, Suffolk County police said.
The crash occurred at 9:17 p.m., police said.
The identity of the driver, who was alone in the 2001 BMW, was not released.
Police said the condition of the driver was not known early Wednesday and that the crash remains under investigation.
