Rescue workers needed hydraulic cutting tools to free a driver and two passengers from an overturned car in Baywood early Friday morning.

Suffolk County police said a driver of a four-door Ford sedan struck a utility pole and overturned on Corbin Avenue and South Fourth Street at about 1:27 a.m.

Neither the male driver nor his two passengers, a man and a woman, was seriously injured, although rescue personnel from the Brentwood Fire Department used the hydraulic equipment to free them.

Police said all three were taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where they were treated for minor injuries.

Police said there was "no criminality" in the accident.
