A Mastic Beach man has been charged with assaulting a co-worker at a construction site in Water Mill on Tuesday by choking him until he passed out, Southampton Town Police said.

Shawn Noto, 31, whose address was not given, was arraigned in town court on charges of strangulation in the second degree and assault in the third degree, and released on his own recognizance, police said.

Noto was accused of placing a chokehold on his co-worker after they got into an argument at the construction site at 279 Montauk Hwy., police said.
