Crime Stoppers and the Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect in a stabbing at El Ray, a convenience store at 325 Merritt Ave. in Wyandanch, on Nov. 5, 2011. Credit: SCPD

Crime Stoppers and First Squad detectives are looking for a "highly dangerous" Wyandanch man who stabbed another man in a convenience store in November, Suffolk County police said.

Police on Thursday released photographs of the suspect, Ludwin Pereira, 32, who police said committed the stabbing in El Ray, a convenience store at 325 Merritt Ave. in Wyandanch.

At about 1:35 p.m. on Nov. 5, Pereira entered the store, walked to the back where two men were playing pool and stabbed one of the men in the side of his torso, police said.

Pereira then quickly fled the scene in an unknown direction, police said.

Pereira also is known as "Luis" or Ludwin Reyes and his last known address is 69 South 27th St. in Wyandanch. A news release said Pereira is considered to be "highly dangerous."
