Cops: Driver charged with DWI after one-car crash

A Brentwood man who lost control of his car, crashing into a parked car on Grant Avenue in Brentwood just after midnight Friday, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, police said.

Suffolk County police said Luis Tenemaza, 42, of Mindres Avenue, was arrested at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he had been transported via Brentwood Legion Ambulance after the crash. His injuries were not life threatening, police said.

Police said Tenemaza was driving a 1993 Toyota Corolla on Grant when he struck a parked car. He remained at the crash scene, police said.

Tenemaza faces arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
