Driver safe after car flips down embankment at SCCC, cops say

A driver escaped injury Thursday after his car overturned down an embankment off a parking lot at the Suffolk County Community College campus in Selden, Suffolk County police said.
Police said the crash occurred at 9:23 a.m.
A photo from the scene showed the vehicle, a Hyundai, lodged between the embankment, a tree and a nearby fence.
Authorities could not immediately verify if the driver was a student at the school, but they said he was able to get himself out of the vehicle. The driver was not charged.
