The driver of a Camaro was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center with minor injuries after rear-ending a school bus early Wednesday in Bay Shore, Suffolk County police said.

Ten high-school students and a driver were aboard the bus, which was hit about 7:40 a.m. east of Exit 42 on westbound Sunrise Highway.

A police spokeswoman said no one on the bus was injured; she did not know which high school the students were going to.

The right lane of the highway was closed briefly as authorities cleared the accident scene and transported the driver of the Camaro to the West Islip facility.
