Cops: Driver killed in West Islip crash

A 46-year-old man died Wednesday after he apparently lost control of the car he was driving in West Islip and crashed into a tree, Suffolk police said.

James Clark of West Islip was traveling east on the Sunrise Highway service road near Udall Road at 7:30 p.m. when his 1997 Honda went off the road, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
