A Fort Salonga man was seriously injured when he was ejected from his car during a single-vehicle crash late Monday in Fort Salonga, Suffolk County police said.

Nicholas Libardi, 23, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital after the crash at 11:05 p.m. Police said Libardi was admitted with serious injuries.

His condition was not immediately known Tuesday.

Police said Libardi was driving a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer west on Fort Salonga Road when he lost control of the vehicle, struck "multiple trees" on the eastbound side of the road just west of the Sunken Meadow Parkway -- and the vehicle overturned.

He was ejected.

Police said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
