Officers responding to a 911 call reporting "an erratic driver" stopped a landscaping truck Monday on County Road 48 in Greenport and arrested the driver, charging him with drunken driving.

Southold Town police identified the driver as Isa Gonzales, 37, of Peconic. He was charged with DWI and faces arraignment Tuesday, police said.

Police said that after receiving the 911 call at about 1:45 p.m., responding officers saw the westbound truck cross over a double-yellow line into the eastbound lane -- forcing the other driver to swerve to a avoid collision.

The officers then stopped the truck, determined that Gonzales was intoxicated and made the arrest, police said.
