Cops: DWI charge in Bridgehampton crash
A man who backed his car into another vehicle Sunday morning in Bridgehampton was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, Southampton Town police said.
Christopher Cooks, 30, of Bridgehampton, was charged with DWI and with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, police said. No one was injured in the incident, police said.
Police said Cooks was arrested after he backed his vehicle into the other vehicle on Montauk Highway just before 5 a.m.
Arraignment information was not immediately available Monday.
