Suffolk County police said they are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Saturday afternoon in East Farmingdale.

Police said a man entered a TD Bank, at 90 Broad Hollow Rd., and handed a bank teller a note saying he had a gun and demanding cash. The teller complied, and the man then fled north on foot through the parking lot, police said.

Police said the suspect was described as in his mid-20s, between 6 feet 4 inches and 6 feet 6 inches, and wearing a red and black hooded ski jacket.

Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
