Police are searching for a Brentwood man who disappeared from a street near his home late last month — and investigators said they believe “foul play” may be involved.

Oscar Acosta, 19, was last seen walking near his home on Thomas Street at about 7 p.m. on April 29, Suffolk County police said.

Police have not said why detectives believe the disappearance is suspicious, but are asking anyone with information regarding Acosta to call 911 or the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452. All calls will remain confidential.

Acosta, who also goes by Jossue, is described as Hispanic with a light complexion, brown eyes and black hair.

He is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 205 pounds and police said he was last seen wearing a white shirt, jeans and black and white sneakers.
